D R Services (London) Ltd has a propriety system for suspending frameless glass canopies over porchways. With stainless steel consoles on the wall and stainless steel rods dropping down to point fittings on the glass.
The use of toughened PVB foil laminated glass is advised for these installations (CEN standard) as this will remain in place even when broken. British standards allow the use of heatsoaked toughened glass which, although lower in cost, will break into dice and fall when broken. |
